Quote Structure
Every quote contains:

Quote Statuses
| Status | Meaning |

| Draft | Still working on it |
| Sent | Delivered to client |
| Viewed | Client opened it |
| Accepted | Client approved |
| Rejected | Client declined |
| Expired | Past valid date |
Track status from the Quotes list or project dashboard.
Pricing Methods
Fixed Price
Enter exact amounts:
- Unit price × quantity = line total
- Good for known costs
Cost Plus
Material cost + markup:
- Enter cost
- Set markup percentage
- System calculates price
Allowances
Placeholder amounts:
- Mark items as "Allowance"
- Client understands cost may vary
- True-up during project
Mix pricing methods in one quote - some items fixed, others as allowances.
Integration with Takeoff
When you export takeoff to quote:
- Quantities transfer automatically
- Categories become sections
- You add pricing
- Link maintained for updates
If takeoff changes, you can sync or update the quote.
