Quick Create

Start New Quote

Click + New Quote from:

  • Quotes page
  • Project dashboard
  • Takeoff export

Enter Header Info

Add Line Items

Add items to quote:

  • Manual - Type each item
  • From Takeoff - Import quantities
  • From Template - Use saved items
  • From Price List - Pull supplier prices

Review & Finalize

Check everything:

  • Line items and prices
  • Totals and markup
  • Terms and notes

Save or Send

  • Save Draft - Keep working later
  • Send - Deliver to client

From Takeoff

The fastest way to create a quote:

  1. Complete your takeoff
  2. Click Export to Quote
  3. Select which items to include
  4. Choose grouping:
    • By category (Doors, Windows, etc.)
    • By room
    • By CSI division
    • Flat list

Items import with quantities - you add prices.

Keep the takeoff-quote link active. When takeoff changes, you can sync updates to the quote.

From Scratch

For quotes without takeoffs:

  1. Create new quote
  2. Add sections (optional)
  3. Add line items one by one
  4. Enter quantity, unit, price

Adding Line Items

For each item, enter:

Using Sections

Organize items into groups:

  • "Demolition"
  • "Rough Carpentry"
  • "Finishes"
  • "Fixtures"

Each section shows its subtotal.

From Template

Apply a saved template:

  1. Click New Quote
  2. Select From Template
  3. Choose your template
  4. Customize as needed:
    • Update quantities
    • Adjust pricing
    • Add/remove items

From Price List

Import supplier pricing:

  1. In quote editor, click Import
  2. Select From Price List
  3. Choose supplier list
  4. Select items to add
  5. Prices populate automatically

Pricing Your Quote

Markup Settings

Apply markup at different levels:

Markup Calculation

Choose your method:

  • Percentage - Add 20% to cost
  • Multiplier - Cost × 1.5
  • Fixed - Add $X per item

Cost vs. Price

Show clients price only, but track:

  • Cost - What you pay
  • Markup - Your profit margin
  • Price - What client pays

Your cost data stays private.

Adding Terms

Include important information:

Payment Terms

Common options:

  • "50% deposit, 50% on completion"
  • "Net 30"
  • "Progress billing"

Exclusions

What's NOT included:

  • Permits and fees
  • Engineering
  • Unforeseen conditions

  1. Click Preview
  2. See exactly what client sees
  3. Check for:
    • Spelling errors
    • Math mistakes
    • Missing items

  • Close and return anytime
  • Draft visible to your team
  • No version limit
  • Edit history tracked

Duplicating Quotes

Create similar quotes quickly:

  1. Open existing quote
  2. Click Duplicate
  3. Modify as needed:
    • New client
    • Adjusted prices
    • Updated scope
  4. Save as new quote

Duplicate is great for: revised quotes, similar projects, or template starting points.
